Ferris Isx 800 Problems - I have an isx800. 2 seasons on it now, no problems. Rides good, does a great job of cutting but seems prone to occasional scalping, especially if you back up. I have the 52โ. The traction set up on the front mount deck, just keeps it moving up hill with no issues. I am interested in anyone's opinion on the ferris isx800 48 inch zero turn. I am upgrading mowers next year, and am interested in this mower. I already have a ferris 400s i. The biggest factor when buying a mower is dealer support. All the major players have comparable models, but if you have to drive an hour for a ferris part due to lack of dealer. Safety switch is killing the engine. All started when you washed the unit, blow out all the switches with air. One of the primary reasons to bump up to a isx2200 is there are significantly more engine choices.
